find yourwaves

Everyone’s waves are different. Some people's waves are waves. Some are trails. Some are thin-crust pizzas. Some are locally brewed coffees.

But no matter where you go, there’s always some sort of ‘waves’ to be had. In any case, we know what it’s like to be searching for it, and we want you to find your waves.

“I feel like I finally get who he is. He’s just a total surf rat.” My friend’s analysis of my husband wasn’t wrong. He is a surf rat.

In fact he’s a super surf rat. The kind that swerves off the freeway to scout a ‘potential’ wave. That spends that night in a beach parking lot so that he can get the tide right. He knows wind patterns better than I know the alphabet. He lives for waves, breathes in waves, dreams in waves.

And yet, we moved to Lake Tahoe.

And when we did—as total mountain kooks—the advice we kept giving ourselves was to “find your waves.” Or rather, to find that thing that drives you and stokes you out and makes you smile whether you’re freezing or hungry or just plain exhausted.

That’s what Epic Lake Tahoe is. A place for you to discover and enjoy the thing that you really love here in the Tahoe basin. We don’t care what it is as long as you love it. If that’s a ripping happy hour deal or a backpacking trip through Desolation Wilderness, we’re here to help you find it.

Let’s #findyourwaves!

(Side note: Coincidentally there can be surfable waves on the lake too. Sometimes waves are waves!)
