If you’re planning a bachelor party in South Lake Tahoe, getting the crew on a boat is non-negotiable. And The Weekender at Zephyr Cove Marina is the one to book.
This 36-foot double-decker pontoon is basically perfect. With a built-in BBQ grill, water slide, shaded bar area, private bathroom, and room for 12 people, it truly has everything you could dream of for a day out on the lake.
Compared to other Lake Tahoe party boats, you’re actually allowed to drive this one yourself. If that’s more your style than cruising out with a hired captain, then The Weekender should definitely be at the top of your list. While there are perks to both, if you’re confident in navigating the lake yourself, there’s definitely something to be said for that kind of freedom.
The Weekender departs from Zephyr Cove Marina on the east shore—about 10 to 15 minutes from the heart of South Lake Tahoe. The best departure window is definitely in the morning, when the water is calm, the afternoon winds are still at bay, and you have plenty of time to explore the lake.
